Welcome to EASVA

EASVA is the East Adelaide Secondary Vocational Alliance, established in 2019, comprising eight Department for Education schools. The member schools are -

  • Adelaide Botanic High School
  • Adelaide High School
  • Charles Campbell College
  • Glenunga International High School
  • Marden Senior College
  • Marryatville High School
  • Norwood International High School
  • Open Access College

EASVA promotes vocational courses and other programs offered by the schools, TAFE SA and other Registered Training Organisations (RTOs). They are designed to help Years 10 – 12 students explore career pathways and commence accredited entry-level training in a variety of fields.

The VET for school students’ policy, released in term 4, 2019, sets out the South Australian (SA) government’s strategic direction and plans for reforming how vocational education and training (VET) is delivered in schools. Following consultation with industry in South Australia a number of industry areas were identified as having a shortage of skills workers. These areas are reviewed annually to ensure they remain relevant to students and industry and lead to meaningful employment. In 2023 26 industry areas have been identified. Within these industry areas 21 Certificate II and five Certificate III VET qualifications are currently heavily subsidised for those who meet eligibility criteria. There are also many other full certificate courses in industry areas of need that are subsidised if the student can get a Contract of Training (apprenticeship or traineeship) with an employer.
