Course Description | Completion of a Certificate II will allow you to have a defined range of hospitality operational skills and introduce you to basic industry knowledge. With this qualification, you will learn even more about the important skills required to offer great service and create enjoyable experiences for customers. |
Pathways | This qualification provides a pathway into potential careers outcomes with front of house operations, event management or even tourism applications. Pathways to the Certificate III Hospitality via a contract of training may be an option for some students or further study in hospitality management. |
Entry Requirements | A genuine interest in food and hospitality. Successful completion of VETRO process. |
Other Requirements | Student uniform for practical evaluations: black shirt, black pants and black enclosed hospitality shoes. |

Dates and Times | 19 weekly sessions at Adelaide Botanic High School on Wednesdays from 09:30 until 16:00. Commencement date 07/02/24. The course will also be offered in Semester 2. |
Work Placement | 10 days 12 Service Periods are required for the qualification (This is approximately 10 days work placement). Students should be mindful of resulting timelines if needed for SACE. |

Training Cost | $220.00 This is a ‘gap’ fee for eligible students, as the course is supported by the Government of South Australia, VET for School Students Policy. |

Orientation Details | Meet in the Adelaide Botanic High foyer on the first day of training. |
Public Transport | The school is within walking distance of the North Terrace Tram and the CBD. Busses run regularly along Frome Rd (Stop 1A). There is no parking available on-site |
