Course DescriptionAdvanced Fitness (Client Screening) Skills Cluster includes the skills and knowledge which are specialised abilities in the fitness industry that involves in depth client assessment and evaluation. Students will engage with industry to develop expertise in using advanced screening techniques to ensure the safety, suitability, and effectiveness of fitness programs for their clients and communities. PathwaysThis Fitness Cluster provides a direct pathway to the SIS30321 Certificate III in Fitness and the SIS40221 Certificate IV in Fitness.

Dates and Times5 weekly sessions at The Lights Community and Sports Centre on Wednesdays from 08:30 until 16:00.
Commencement date 23/10/24.
11 weekly sessions at Glenunga International High School on Wednesdays from 08:45 until 12:40.
Commencement date 24/07/24.
Industry visits will be at the Lights Community and Sports Centre. Actual dates for 5 industry visits are still to be confirmed. There will be three in term 3, and two in term 4. There will be an additional 25 hours self paced online study. No classes will be run in the school holidays.

Cost NotesIn addition to the course cost, an administration fee will apply as follows: Non-EASVA member government school $100 per enrolment, Non-EASVA member Non-government school $200 per enrolment. (refer to member school tab for list of EASVA schools)

Selection ProcessStudents may be required to complete a secondary application form or interview as part of the enrolment process.
Public TransportTake Bus 100 Circle Line along Portrush Road to Stop 13, then walk west down Queen Street (approx. 500m) to the school. If travelling along Glen Osmond Road (Bus 161, 166 and others), get off at Stop 8 and walk along Conyngham Street (approx. 200m) to the school.
